Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the SEO Layers Chrome extension ("Extension") or any associated web services at seolayers.com ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension or Services.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Extension or Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

SEO Layers is a Chrome browser extension that provides real-time SEO analysis, including but not limited to:

  • Meta tag extraction and analysis (title, description, Open Graph, Twitter Cards)
  • Heading structure analysis (H1–H6 hierarchy)
  • Link auditing (internal, external, broken links)
  • Image optimization checks (alt text, dimensions, file size)
  • Core Web Vitals monitoring (LCP, FID, CLS, TTFB)
  • Schema/structured data validation
  • AI-powered SEO insights (Pro feature)
  • PDF report generation (Pro feature)
  • Page notes and annotations
  • Ad transparency analysis

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

Certain features require you to create an account using Google Sign-In, email/password, or guest access. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Sharing

Pro subscriptions include device slot sharing. Your activation key may be shared with up to the number of devices specified in your plan. You are responsible for all activity under your shared key.

4. Subscription Plans

4.1 Free Plan

The Free plan provides limited access to core SEO analysis features with usage caps (e.g., 10 audits/month).

4.2 Pro Plans

Pro Monthly ($1.99/month) and Pro Yearly ($9.99/year) plans unlock unlimited audits, AI insights, multi-device slots, and all premium features. Monthly plans include a 30-day free trial.

4.3 Billing

Payments are processed through Razorpay. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing cycle.

4.4 Upgrades and Downgrades

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When switching plans, your current subscription is cancelled (access continues until cycle end) and a new subscription begins upon successful payment.

5. Activation Keys

Pro access can be activated via unique activation keys. Keys are non-transferable once redeemed. Each key supports a fixed number of device slots. Sharing keys beyond the allowed slots is a violation of these Terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
  • Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or systems
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Extension or activation keys
  • Use automated means to access the Extension beyond its intended design
  • Interfere with the operation of the Extension or Services

7. Intellectual Property

All content, code, designs, logos, and trademarks associated with SEO Layers are the property of SEO Layers and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the Extension does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Extension, you consent to the data practices described therein.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension and Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that SEO recommendations will guarantee improved search rankings.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SEO Layers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Extension or Services, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Extension if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Extension is immediately revoked.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of India.
